(Requires the Frontier glue table for UltraFind 2.2 installed)
The enclosed QuicKeys file needs to be saved in the "Universal" QuicKeys set. It allows you to do a file name search from within any application (editor, word-processor, etc.), and have the results (matched file paths) returned to your page as text.
1. Type a file name (or partial name) in your editor or word-processor window; select it and copy it to the clipboard.
2. Trigger this QuicKeys shortcut.
3. Then, in your editor/word-processor, use <Command-V> (Paste).
This ingenious function, written by Nobumi Iyanaga, works by sending Frontier a command for UltraFind, with the file name as the parameter. UltraFind performs a file name search on all mounted volumes, with the option "nameContains". It then returns the matched file paths to Frontier, which puts them in the clipboard, so that you only have to do <Command-V> in your editor/word-processor to see the result (if there is no matched file, you will have a "Not found" message).
